Recognized by the California State Legislature and the Human Rights Commission for inspired leadership and civic accomplishment, Kate MacKenzie has twenty years experience in developing vital and innovative programs. PSYCHOTHERAPIST: Currently in private practice counseling individuals, partners, and groups utilizing guided imagery, alchemical hypnosis, conscious breathwork, cognitive techniques, and traditional psychotherapeutic practices; specializing in areas of esteem, coping skills, healing techniques, life transitions, childhood abuse, dysfunctional family issues, depression, and illness.
ADMINISTRATOR & MANAGER: Former executive director of Sacramento AIDS Foundation, Sacramento (1983 to 1989); founding board member of California Association of AIDS Agencies; advisory board member with Prison AIDS Prevention and Education Project; founder and executive director of the Sacramento Rape Crisis Center; liaison to federal, state, and local funding sources, legislative bodies, and diverse community organizations.
EDUCATOR & FACILITATOR: Seminars and workshops address group and individual healing, assertiveness, stress management, self-love, verbal and non-verbal communication, the effectiveness of creativity in the workplace, team building, goal setting, and staff and volunteer training.
