Bud Gardner began his professional writing career in 1967 with fourteen straight sales. Since then, he has adapted his success principles to the needs and expectations of today's publisher, and has developed one of the most productive writing programs in America. Students from Gardner's last sixteen years of instruction have earned nearly $2 million in sales. His infectious enthusiasm and well-targeted action plans enhance all levels of writing, from simple letters to corporate reports to full-length books.

EDUCATOR & WRITER: Faculty member of Los Rios Community College District, Sacramento, California (since 1960); has taught writing skill courses (1977 to1997); former athletic coach with eight collegiate championships; and named in 1994 as the first ever recipient of the American Society of Journalists and Authors' Robert C. Anderson Memorial Award for exemplary devotion to helping writers succeed.

CONSULTANT & DIRECTOR: Writing advisor for the National Speakers' Association national speech writing conference; director of American River College's Annual Sell What You Write Workshop (1977 to 1990); consultant for the Sacramento Public Library writing conference; director of the "Writing for Publication" program at American River College, Sacramento; and communications consultant for a variety of businesses and associations.
